Since its very inception, in 1982, Sri Ramakrishna Sevasramam, aimed at making the economically poor and spiritually backward people to elevate themselves and be in a comparable position in society sith the other section of people and was working in that direction by devising various programmes.

We in the sevasramam, believe that service is to be done not in the spirit of pity or sympathy but in a spirit of worship, the reciever being in the position of God and the giver as the blessed worshipper. Over the past 28 years, the services rendered by the Sevasramam have touched the hearts of many people of the society. The blessings of the Narayana and the Daridra Narayanas will hep us to spread the message in all directions in our own humble way.

The civilized section of the ccommunity should come out of their own shell and look around to see the needy people around. By rendering our share of service, we shed our ego to thin proportions. When ego becomes less and less the divine becomes more and more manifest in the heart of the human beings. Service to the deserving is the best means to shed ego. When the spirit of service is illuminated by the spirit of national dedication it becomes high and nobles.

The sevasramam is a living example of the concern of the good hearts to the suferings of the unfotunate of the society. The determination and dedication of the members of the sevasramam to alleviate the same has to continue. We have to ensure more smiles,wipe more tears,take care of more and more sickly,so that the society becomes a better place to live.
